Louder Than Liftoff TAPE•79 module for Silver Bullet mk2

We wanted to create a module that embodied the subtle nuances of distortion, saturation, frequency shifts (including low frequency head bump), and most importantly phase shifts that occur when a signal is recorded and played back from real tape. Our goal was to create a tool that was simple in operation, but complex in sonic result, unlike many plugin emulations which offer cartoonish or overly effected results.
With real tape one would align and calibrate the tape machine for optimal response and simply roll tape. This module embraces that same set-it-and-forget-it approach so you focus more on recording amazing tones, and less on tweaking knobs. A set of dip switches on each channel allows the user to fine-tune the preset response of TAPE•79 to emulate different eras of tape decks with different frequency, phase, and distortion responses.
Many of you have been waiting for a hardware product that truly delivers the essence of tape with a no-fuss workflow. We are confident you are going to love what this does for your music.
Features:
- Stereo tape machine emulation
- 100% analog hardware circuits
- Modeled on 15 IPS operation
- Two levels of distortion - selectable by dipswtich
- LF Head Bump - selectable by dipswitch
- HF Response - selectable by dipswitch
- Iron Response - selectable by dipswitches
The Silver Bullet mk2 is a 2RU analog mojo and tone-shaping box for 2-bus, tracks, and mics. A dual-interface analog expansion slot inside the unit accepts stereo Mojo Modules (like the Hitmaker Comp) or Colour modules, which allows users to expand and customize the processing of the unit. There are simple controls for drive and wet/dry mix on the front panel of the Silver Bullet mk2 for the “Mojo C” processing block.

This module can be purchased as an add-on for Silver Bullet mk2 separately or at the time a Silver Bullet mk2 is ordered.
Availability: April-May 2024
Price: $349
See the Silver Bullet mk2 at NAMM at booths 15713 and 15324.
Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer in this thread.
