Apple vs Dolby binaural, which is closer to speakers?
I hear 2 differences between Apple and Dolby binaural that are INSANE to me because they mean radically different mixes, as in the basic balance of sounds:
-Apple makes an object in the rear as loud, maybe even a tiny louder, than the same object in front. Dolby slightly lowers the level when an object is placed in the rear, which I think makes more sense
-Apple has a large volume boost mid height. Dolby's volume is consistent between ear level and ceiling. Again, Dolby makes more sense to me.
The question is, which more accurately reflects what you hear on speakers? I'll be taking my mixes to an Atmos studio to check, so knowing which one is more accurate would help so I don't waste precious time.
