Miditech Garagekey

Incredible MIDI controller at marvelous form factor.

One of those synths I really wished I bought 2 or 3 while they were manufactured. Can't tell you how many road trips I've been on with iPad and Garagekey plugged and jamming while traveling to the gig for 3+ hours. And when I get tired, it fit van's side door compartment!

Nowadays, Miditech employees don't even recall they ever made this one (asked them)

Nothing too special about it - it's a MIDI controller that works. But it fits everywhere in 3-octave layout, and most importantly starting from F note. Oh and keys are in full-size. For those rock-related those 37 octaves cover a bit more range than usual C-C. And keybed is not that bad at all for under $50 controler.

It also had risers so you could tuck your keyboard beneath it.
If it only had some sort of a pitch bend it would be a dreamlike product. But, nevertheless, it's such a shame nobody makes such controllers anymore.

Probably will make a custom one for myself at some point.
