For those frustrated in the release slippage of Raven 4 I would suggest for those of us who have a touch screen to download the SSL 360 app and the SSL link software. Run the SSL 360 app on your touchscreen, it is an overlay so isn't dependent on which DAW you run.
I'm running 360 with my 27 inch touch screen and for me is as close to working on a console in terms of hands on access to channel strips.
Slate is going to have to go some to out do the SSL 360 app.

I was asking about Raven 4 support for Luna on Mac.

I think Jamie said that wasn’t happening anytime soon. Not enough users out there yet or something. If it happens it could be what pushes me to Luna. It’s a good DAW.

Well, with the announcement of the Raven 4 software came the addition of Luna to the list of supported DAWS. And I even saw a short demo vid on YT showing how Raven 4 for Luna on Windows is even coming.

So, the decision has been made to support Luna — the question is what is the time estimate as to when the Luna version of Raven 4 will actually be available?

Not at all, you don't need any of the SSL hardware to use 360, in fact now that Link opened up other plugin manufacturers you wouldn't even need to own SSL own plugins. I'd advise you to download the 360 app and run it dedicated to your touch screen, I think you'll like it

Are you on Windows? I don't see anything about the software that suggests it's optimized for touch screens, but I suppose if you're on Windows the multi touch might be good enough?

Hi, yes Windows 10. Multi touch works fine with 360, not sure about Mac

Can you share if the SSL 360 app supports just single touch? Does it have the equivalent of “batch commander” functionality?

I've been able to move multiple faders simultaneously. Regarding the batch commands it doesn't have those, it has a basic transport panel. It does have the ability to control send levels which is really good. I use studio one and they interact really well together

also forgot to say, you can control pans, mute and solo per channel. If SSL ever add the ability to turn on automation per channel then this will be perfect for me, i'll be able to sell the control surface

No estimate yet, waiting on UA to update some things in their Mackie Control Protocol so RAVEN can access plugins in the new "Classic Console" view.

Did you try the 360 app? If so, how did you get on with it?

I did. That, plus the Link app.
Does not see my Metric Halo interface.
Cannot figure out jow to make use of non-SSL plugins.

Must be missing something.

Sweetwater states it will be officially launching on Aug 27, 2024.
