As for the keybed, I saw a recent thread about the MODX where someone added weights, and it apparently made KK like... well, 10% better.
This is quite common custom thing that people for bunch of keyboards, so it works and will definitely be better. It's a definitely safe and go-to method if you like playing it so much.
As for keyboard size.. Recenlty saw Teo-5... How cool it would be if Korg did the same with all raspberry Pi synths and made it into 3.5 octave layout (additional F to B below). But I guess I should look on this format as a module who has keys "if" needed.

So, in general, KK Neo added some DWGS waveforms (Octave Saw, Pulse, Square and "EDM") + additional SynVox lh while completely removing Inharm and Syn Wire DWGS along with several Organs
In PCM they added "EDM oriented" PCM waveforms such as Hit/Chord/Wobble and 4 Octave and sacrifice Trumpets, clavs, organs were which is a pity especially regarding brasses or organs. While not being crucial for the instrument purpose, I saw that as an interesting variety when/if needed.
This way KK Neo it was brought a little bit more into typical VA synth ground compared to KK OG. It's not terrible, but I would definitely having Brass and Melotron Flute/Strings options over Hit and "Rave" sounds.
Oh and roughly speaking 95% of factory presets from King Korg OG are using Analog waveforms only so probably everything important can be recreated on KK Neo.
