Chess… you used to mention the Warm 47 jr. often, but not lately. Has your opinion changed?

And I have no experience with that mic, so wouldn’t recommend it myself, just asking the experienced person.

On me it had a scooped Mid Range.
NOT the usual choice on my typical Baritone or 2nd Tenor.
IMHO the 3U capsule is quite nice.
But…

The circuit was designed by Warm and kinda Funky (not in a good way)
The more conventional Tube version was/is overall better.

Both “Elly” (and the Oliver’s) have more capsule Clarity too.
Gorgeous sounding Transformers in Ben’s stuff. (Brimar Tube is way cool in B67 too )

Even my 3U based U195 has a teeny bit of the 3U Capsule “cloudiness” subtle as it is on my Soundelux)

Which can be very cool for a Vintage lean. *

P.S. Oktava 219/319’s are kinda 47 Fet-ish too. But more of a crapshoot.

I tend to think of Roswell / Micparts capsules to be mid-tier stuff and a step below 3uaudio or Takstar. With chess' fanboy favorite beesnees getting in to the upper tier of things.

But I think their 47 capsule is an exception (mini k47). It has it's own cool thing going on. Really colored and aggressive but in a cool/ fun way. I like to think Lauten Audio's 67 (u87 style) capsules cover similar ground on the u87 side of things (colored/not subtle). SE and 3u falling very much in to the "polite" camp. SE being much more modern/polite and 3u vintage/polite.

Ksm32 super honest, non-abrasive. Captures low frequencies like a LDC and higher frequencies like a ribbon, transients like a sdc. Falls in it's own category / maybe a little bland but very professional sounding.

Mixerman suggests Lewitt microphones. I don't have any so I don't know really.

I use mostly JZ67 which is colored but sounds fine on pretty much any vocal I record. Can be had new for around 600EUR during their sales.

Amethyst is supposedly really good, too.

I like the KSM 32 as a quality workhorse microphone. For me it was usable on acoustic and voice, but there are better options for those applications in that price range.

I have a pair of them and they pretty much live as drum overhead/percussion mics these days. The 3U Teal was so much better on acoustic for me.

FWIW I kinda lump Shute 32’s/AT4050’s/AA 018’s as “solid/dependable”.
But…
