I’m sorry, I’m sure this has been explained a million times but I’m embarrassed to admit I’m still confused about how to gain stage these plugins to get into the optimal sweet spot.

I’m mostly interested in using these in a multitrack fashion rather than buses/master. I’m confused about whether acustica suggest setting levels to peak at -18dbfs or average at -18 (like most plugins I use).

Let’s say i set the level of my kick drum using hornet vu meter to -18dbfs (=0 vu) and peaking no higher than -6.. where would I need to set the trim on taupe studio to be in the optimal operating range?

I think a properly calibrated vu meter in the plug-in would help with this confusion!

I’m loving the original Tudor 810 models so far. I’d love some more captures like otari mtr-90 and old scully’s in the future! Congrats on a brilliant plugin
