Budget: Audient Evo 16 (average latency - don’t know about support)
Mid range: New MOTU 828 (possibly very latency on Mac + long support for product ) / Audiofuse 16 (average latency - don’t know about support)
High End: RME UFX III (very low latency + very long product support)
The only reason I’m considering RME at double the price of the mid range option is because of all of the positive things I read online about their solid low latency software and longevity of support. There nothing else about the interface that makes me specifically interested in it. I would much rather buy a UCXII but that has limited ADAT expansion compared to the other options.
I would actually like to see a new 16A that ships with 2 preamps as a competitor to the audiofuse but lower latency custom Mac drivers hopefully.
Go with the RME.
I Purchased an 828es 2 years ago, still working flawless no issues and then added a UCX II last year. In retrospect I should have just gotten a UFX The only thing lacking in the UCXII for my needs is an additional adat port. I wish RME would just make the digiface (adat) rack mountable in a case like the UCX /ADI series
