Warranty or not, some places here claim to repair most anything.
Even without schematics, I'm sensing that there aren't rocket science parts inside an 828.
My motu digital timepieces have been working flawlessly since 1999.....not the same piece of gear of course. Same for my ultralite mk5 which is just a bit over two years old.
It is a currently sold and produced unit... is 3 years old now? I'm not asking about a 20 year old EOL product here, I'm talking about a product they're currently selling.
I don't live in LA and I'm not going to gamble with my wallet on whether or not a local repair shop can figure out what's wrong without schematics; been there, done that... no thanks.
Anyways, I'm not looking for "help", I'm just warning people that MOTU does not stand behind their products, so if you don't want to risk a paperweight once your warranty is up after 2 years, stay away.
