I'm guessing the AVB/network stuff was somehow handled by the TB controller, hence no TB, no AVB.
The 828 was always a bit of an odd ball. Its got the AVB and TB stuff the 'pro' lineup does, but its been advertised like its not part of the actual 'Pro Audio' lineup for some reason. Its like its the little step brother they wont let come and play with the big kids, but the thing has been a rock solid, killer interface all the way back to the first release (despite the original missing some features the later ones got).
Does the ES use the same installer the rest of the AVB units do? I still have to get the 'other' installer that still includes the firewire interfaces for my 828x..
