if I traded my micromoog out for an ms20, what would I lose in terms of capabilities?

I feel like i'm missing out on a resonance knob, and I want to play with the ms20's external signal processor. Is that enough to justify the switch?

What are you going to use it for mostly? I feel they both cover different areas of the spectrum.

You'd get more range out of the ms20, I always found the micro to be a bit limited.

I generally use the micromoog for basslines and percussive FX noises. I also use the audio input to grit up my drums or add an LFO/tremolo type sound to a guitar. The lead sounds I get out of it make me feel kind of prog-rocky, which is not what I'm going for, although I do really like the single oscillator buzz/saxophone/kazoo sound. I feel like it sounds like an all-analog circuit should. I've only ever heard that kind of satisfying oscillator sound before in an oberheim SEM.

Or I'll wash it in reverb and because of its routing capabilities and adsr sections you can get really interesting soundscapes.
