I think rather than tinkering with a proven design up top, Amphion would do better to consider a more affordable offering down bottom.
I can't help feeling there must be loads of us with One15s and One18s for whom the cost of the FlexBase 25 is going to be forever out of sight.
I know Amphion will tell us that "anything less than the FlexBase 25 will compromise our systems and not meet our exacting high-standards, blah blah blah", but from the perspective of an Amphion customer like me who just might be willing to turbocharge my One15s with a sub up to twice the cost of the original monitors (as I did with my PMCs), I don't think I will ever be in a position to stretch to the FlexBase 25 at four times that cost. Yes, I know "I have to hear it" etc but however wonderful that combo may be, I will never be able to find £6k to buy it. Halve that amount and colour me interested.
As has been reported repeatedly throughout this thread one doesn't need a sub to mix very successfully on the One15s (except perhaps doing movie scores), but if I was Amphion asking myself how we can tap into our already-loyal existing customer base to keep them onside and encourage them to spend more money with us, a more affordable sub is where I would be looking first.
A FlexBase 15 please, Anssi!
