There’s people comparing the Trigon to the Poly Moog and all this talk just boxes them into a narrow view that does the synth no justice. Only trust yourself... and the first 6 Black Sabbath albums.

I do feel the 6 series are a bit expensive. Then again, between branding, marketing and the chunk that distributors take , I see why a synth might cost $400-600 more than it should. Thus, thats why I like buying them used, they are well built and will last.

I'll definitely add more features, there's already a couple of ideas in my development backlog. The 1.1 update (coming soon), for example, will have a revamped patch browser that supports the categories from sound tower, as well as a dedicated "Perform view".

As far as editor capabilities go - I might add them or I might not. Still undecided. There is an editor (soundtower) already. I do, however, not like soundtowers' user interface. It's way too much stuff on one screen and this will never work for mobile. So if I ever implement it, I will come up with a new, mobile optimized editor interface.

The whole idea of the app, however, is using it alongside the synth to give you more information and more tools so it expands the synth interface rather than replace it. And, ultimately, it should make the synth more fun to use. For me it does that already and I'm really happy about it. I have created more interesting sounds in the couple of months since I started developing this app than I did in multiple years of P6 ownership before.

What do you guys think, any ideas/wishes for future features?

Im not saying that cheap, but I think new should be around $1500-$1750 for the desktop which is basically what you get them for in the used market. And to the main point that the price would influence the criticism of the units. At $1600 the P6 would be amazing but at $2300 it might be too much for what you get imo. Not as bad as the minimoog at $5k though. This is in addition to the points that the previous poster was saying which didn't include pricing so thats why I mentioned it. The other points do matter as well.

I'm using a Native Instruments S61 mk3. Highly recommended, but maybe a bit much if you don't also use Native Instruments software. It does come in smaller models, but the keyboard feels great and is also polyphonic aftertouch enabled, which the Prophet 6 can use.
