Yep. Sometimes I get units in to use as models for my synth furniture work when enough people ask me for them, so get the luxury of testing/experiencing them into the bargain. I keep them if they fit in,

The Roland SP-404 MK2 was really cool, but I just didn't gel with its interface. It was like night and day with the 707. I loved the K0 II 133, but the fader was starting to play up, so I sold it cheap, but didn't lose too much on it, as I had bought it used to start with.

Am being strict on what I keep as my music room is getting way too busy.

Probably makes more sense to do this after boxing day but I didn't buy too much stuff this year. Doing synth videos I wanted to focus more on using what I have instead of adding new things every month.

Next year I'm going to get rid of some things.

Polyend Play: Definitely an impulse buy when they were getting blown out. I find the workflow utterly baffling, to the point where I can't tell if the behavior is a big or just the unintuitive way the device works

Chase Bliss Mood Mk2: I've gone back and forth on this one. I need to just drill down and try a few ways of working with it (sample the micro-looper, FX on a specific synth part) to see if it actually works for me or if it's just a novelty

Bought a bunch of smaller stuff, but two memorable and favorite purchases are Oberheim TEO-5 and Eventide Anthology XII.

Sold off some music related stuff:
Fender Mustang P/J bass guitar, Eden WT264 bass amp head and cabinet,
Yamaha 13" Nouveau Brass snare drum, and a Yamaha Stage Custom drum set.

I think guitar strings and perhaps some batteries.

I really like the 707, I think its one of the best thing Roland have done for years.

- still annoyed at them for not doing a proper editor and librarian, i find the whole zencore integration really annoying (unless its been updated) -

But now, with the editor that dude made it really is top tier portable all-in-one

If only they made an ACB version i'd be all over that. even a bit limited like elektron did with syntakt with but its 4 acb tracks and 12 digital .. i'd pay some good money for that

as it is its still great - a mini 'best of Roland'

I went through MC101, then MV-1, then Akai MPC One before realising I should have just gone straight for the 707.

Perhaps a Mk2 with added ACB and 16 tracks? Release it with twin MX-2 16 channel mixer for the win.
