How to open a Fostex FR-2 recorder?

Hello,

I have an FR-2 recorder from Fostex and I can't find a service manual online. I want to open it because the headphones output is silent.

Any advice on how to proceed to open the device?

My FR-2 is old but if it can be useful to someone, fixing it is a good option - better to have it in one piece rather than in fragments.

Isn’t it just a matter of unscrewing screws, taking notes/pictures of what you do/did etc. and then put it back in reverse order?

Worked for a fr2-le which is tricky to get apart.
